Browndale Farms in Clay Center, KS

The weekend before Halloween my parents came up from AR for a visit. On Saturday we went to one of Andrew's football games and then just hung out around the house. On Sunday we decided to venture over to a pumpkin patch I heard about in Clay Center, KS. What I originally thought was supposed to be a 30min drive turned into almost an hour because the farm was on the outskirts of the OTHER side of Clay Center. Andrew and Ava seemed to a have a lot of fun running around doing all the activities they had available. There were giant round bales of hay the kids could run and play on, a trailer full of corn to play in, a slide into a pool of corn, a zip line, an eye-spy forrest, goats to feed, "dirt" bowling, a hay ride and corn maze. Needless to say there was A LOT of stuff to keep the kids occupied and it was almost impossible to keep Andrew in one place for very long. On a side note I have to thank my parents for going along with us despite the fact that it was incredibly dry and windy so there was dust and hay flying around. Those conditions did a number on my Dad's allergies.

Ava and Daddy feeding the goats
Andrew's turn
This goat tried soo hard to get a hold of my mom's purse (it kind of looked like straw) and he got his horns stuck on the outside of the fence. It took a while for him to figure out how to get them back through
Andrew running all over the hay bales
Ava loved playing on the hay bales too
HA! I got them to be still, if only for a split second
Time for some dirt bowling
The pins were small logs that were hard to balance on end
Playing in the trailer of corn
Whee!!! This girl LOVES to slide!
There was a tunnel made of small square hay stacks. Ava would stand at one end and look through, but never would walk into it not matter how hard we tried.
There she is at the other end. I couldn't get her to walk to me for anything
Ava's turn in the corn trailer
Andrew had so much fun on the zip line
He wanted to do this over and over and over

Ava and Daddy on the hay ride
This was our attempt at a family picture. Ava did not want to sit still and she let us know about it.
Heading into the corn maze
Ava and Pawpaw taking one last run around the hay bales

She did not know what to think about this big turkey. Of course all Adam could think of was shooting it. Gotta love the hunter in him
