April re-cap

Nothing much happened the second half of April. Andrew did wonderful with his cast on and it didn't seem to slow him down one little bit. He's doing well in school when it comes to learning his letters and writing his name. His attitude, however, could use a little work but we are trying to fix that. Andrew is definitely one stubborn, hard-headed little boy. (wonder where he gets that from) ha ha

I am doing well. The pregnancy seems to be going fine and I am now 24 weeks and 4 days pregnant. The baby is very active and loves to jump around on my bladder :-) We still don't have a name picked out for her yet and if this time is anything like the last pregnancy we won't decide until the last minute. In the mean time I am having fun shopping for little girl clothes. So far I've been really lucky and was able to get lots of gear from a friend. It was great being able to give a friend my money instead of Wal Mart. School is going well for me too. I am just over half way done at this point. Of course I will have to take a leave of absence when the baby comes, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things as soon as possible. With any luck I'll have my degree completed just after the first of the year.

Adam is doing fine to the best of my knowledge. Because of where he is located this time we don't have a lot of communication, but at least we have some. I don't really have a lot to report on him right now. Just keep him and the rest of his unit in your thoughts and prayers.

On April 29 Adam and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. It's always hard when we are apart on this day, but we do what we can for each other. Since joining the Army we have been apart 4 out of 7 anniversaries. In some ways I think this helps to bring us closer together. We usually don't do much of anything when he is gone. I will send a card, but he usually doesn't do anything for me short of an e-mail or possible phone call. It's so hard to do anything over there, especially if they don't have a good internet connection. This year however was different. I got beautiful flowers from him this year. I'll post a picture of them below.

Here are some pictures of Andrew's cast removal, anniversary flowers and other random things from the month of April.

I forgot to mention this earlier. I had the front of our house landscaped a few weeks ago. They removed 2 very overgrown bushes and replaced them with this. Doesn't it look good!
