Baby Update

I realized that I haven't posted about my pregnancy and the new baby in a long time so here is some info. There really isn't much to tell right now. As of today I am 19 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I went to the Dr yesterday and so far everything seems to be going well. The heart beat was 145-150, which is MUCH lower than Andrew was. I am hoping this means the new baby will be calmer, but you never know. So far I've only gained about 5lbs, but I lost a lot in the beginning so I guess technically I'm still in the negatives where weight is concerned. I can only hope I continue not to gain much. I put on so much weight with Andrew and I would rather not do that again. The only "issues" I really have involve my kidney's. I've been having a lot of pain especially when I drink dark soda (I know it's not good for me). They are assuming the strain of the pregnancy is harder on my kidneys this time around. So I just have to lay off the caffeine and I should be fine. I go Thursday to get my ultrasound so hopefully I will be able to post that night and let everyone know if we're having a boy or a girl. Andrew had everything out in full display during his ultrasound so with any luck this baby will be the same :-)

An invisible ghost lives in our house

Yes you read that right. Apparently there is an invisible ghost living in our house. Yesterday evening Andrew was upstairs in my room watching cartoons. I heard a thud but that is not an uncommon sound considering he usually jumps off my bed. I thought nothing of the sound until I hear Andrew screaming and crying at the top of his lungs. I ran to the stairs and that is where I was informed of the event. Andrew told me he was just sitting there watching cartoons when "someone just sneaked upstairs and pushed me off the bed". He told me this between all of the sobs and tears. It was really rather cute. So a couple hours later, after he had calmed down, he was still complaining about his wrist hurting. It wasn't really swollen or bruised at all, but something told me to go ahead and take him to the ER. Well I'm glad I did. 2 hours and 4 x-rays later we learned that my little guy has a "buckle fracture of the distal radius and ulna". Now I have no idea what a buckle fracture is exactly, but it isn't anything too bad. He has to wear a cast for 4 weeks and the we will go back to the orthopedic doctor to have it x-rayed again. Hopefully all will be well and he won't have to get another cast after that. Here are some pictures from today's visit to the ortho office. He did such a good job getting his cast on!

Afterwards we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. Nothing like some good ol' mac and cheese with chicken strips to make a kiddo feel better.

Arkansas in February (a nice break from winter)

Andrew and I just got back from a week long trip to Arkansas. Let me tell you it was soooo nice to have a little escape from the cold weather. Granted seeing family was good too the warm weather was absolutely FABULOUS!! :-)
We didn't get to see as many people as we would have liked to, but there just never seems to be enough time to fit everyone and everything in. We hung out at the house a lot and Andrew got to play with his Nana and Pawpaw which he LOVED. On one particularly nice day we went to Berryhill Park to let Andrew run around and burn off some energy. He had so much fun and is still talking about going back to the park. Maybe one of these days it will warm up enough here so that we can get outside a little more. Well I'm going to try and keep this short because I have a lot of pictures. Hope everyone is having a good March so far! There isn't much to update in terms of the new baby. We should find out sometime around the first of April if it's a boy or a girl. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.
