Answered Prayer

In my last post I asked everyone to keep Adam and his job situation in your thoughts and prayers because he was incredibly unhappy. Well the very next day he was informed that he would be moving to a new unit. This is a "line unit" of Cav scouts. I can't begin to tell you how excited he is about this change. It has been a long time coming and he deserves it.

There hasn't been much else happen since my last post. We were able to get some flowers planted in the window boxes this afternoon and have plans for a small flower garden in the yard as well. I don't have any pictures taken of this yet, but hope to get some soon. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers towards Adam's job situation.

Springtime

taking a break from jumping on the trampoline

Well it's FINALLY starting to warm up. The snow has melted leaving the yard a muddy mess, but we've still managed to spend quite a bit of time outdoors. Andrew loves being outside, so much so that we have a hard time getting him to come inside. We have started trying to clean up the yard and little and also deciding what kind of flowers and plants we want to add. Two windows on the front of the house have flower boxes and I'm excited to get some flowers in them. I think it will brighten up the look of the house. It's still a little cool here at night so I can't start planting just yet, but it's nice to have an idea of what we want to do.

Andrew loves to swing!

Adam and I are doing well. I have been toying with the idea of getting a job. The first thing I have to figure out is what to do with Andrew while I work. I'm not actively job hunting but I am keeping an eye out for anything I might enjoy. We will see what happens on that front. Adam is struggling right now. For the first time in his Army career he is incredibly unhappy with his job and working situation. We are doing everything that we know how to try and get him moved into another unit, but so far haven't had any luck. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that something will come along soon. He loves the heart of the Army, but as of right now isn't planning on re-enlisting when his current contract is up. It's going to be a VERY busy summer for him. Next month he will be down at Ft Polk, LA training for a month and then in July has to report to Ft Sam Houston, TX for some additional schooling and will be there until September. Once that is over he will be back up here in NY until his unit deploys in November. Lots of back and forth, but with any luck we will still manage to have a good summer and create lots of memories before the deployment gests here. At some point during all of that we are trying to plan a trip to AR to visit family.
